I liked the fact that the beds were comfortable, the rooms had nice old style furniture, but it was all clean. The bath had a jacuzzi, which was relaxing after a long day of walking in town. The breakfast was good and had a choice of servings. The staff were nice and helpful. The bar in the room was affordable.

There was very low pressure in the water pipes, sometimes it was hard to get hot water or any water at all. I had to sew the blinds together as they were torn and the sun was too bright in the morning. We asked for a double bed, but instead got a twin bed with matteraces sliding apart.

The position and nice local bars.

No air con which means leaving window open. Next to rail line

The staff were great, the rooms were spacious and very nicely furnished, the jacuzzi baths were fun it was very good value for money

there was no free wifi in the rooms so you could not work on your own pc (it was only available in the lobby and garden area)

Overall the hotel was very nice. We stayed in the superior twin for the first night and honeymoon for the second (we got upgraded for the second night as we had actually booked a superior double which apparently had a leak). The superior rooms have lovely Jacuzzi's which are very relaxing after a long day's walking! Although located outside the old part, it is easy to get to by tram and there are lots of local pubs around which serve up good food!

The room was huge and nicely decorated. The bathroom was very grand all in marble. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was great. Tea and coffee facilities in the room and internet access. The location allowed travel to the main city sights and also was well connected to get easily out of Prague. We also walked into Wencelas Square and other places at the other end of Prague city, so the distance is not great. Good restaurant/pub nearby where we enjoyed a few drinks and a delicious meal on our last night. When we were stranded due to the volcanic ash, it was no problem to stay another night at the very cheap rate I had for the previous 4 nights. When we left early one morning, they provided a packed breakfast. Friendly helpful staff

The close proximity to the tram made it easy to travel into town.

The bath water took forever to run and there was no means of having a shower instead. Our room was missing curtains on arrival these were only replaced after we asked for them.

Close enough to City centre, very clean, friendly staff, very enjoyable stay.

The staff were friendly and they gave us umbrellas. We may or may not have seen a weasel on the short work to town.

A good place to sleep (especially thinking about the price) for those who don´t need to stay in the middle of the tourist area, and we needn´T. Nice breakfast too.

    We liked everything

This is not a 4-star hotel as shown in Booked.net description. Although it's still a good value for money.

We had a wonderful time at the King Charles Boutique Hotel Residence. The staff were very friendly and helpful all the time. The rooms we had we very clean and plenty of room, the breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. To get around Prague we used the trams all the time, the staff helped us with how to get to the tourist spots and the trams were just across the road from the hotel. The only downside of the hotel was its outside appearance. If it hadn't been for the taxi dropping us outside we would never have found it. But overall it was a good holiday and would definately stay again.

The breakfast was excellent, the staff was very helpful and friendly, the interiors were beautiful, and the peaceful location was ideal!

I've got nothing to complain about, so the only thing that comes to mind is that it's slightly challengin to find the location for the first time if you're not familiar with the tram-stops!

  • Couple

The hotel was good value for money - the check in staff were friendly and efficient. The room we had was large and well set out. The hotel is about 10 - 15 minutes by tram to the Charles Bridge ( or a pleasant half hour walk along the river). It was nice to stay at a hotel with a very individual feel to it rather than the chain hotels which are all so similar. Would definitely stay at the hotel again when we next visit Prague.

The buffet breakfast was basic. Our room only had a hand held shower.

  • Couple

Location was good you can access to city center and downtown easily. the people in the reception were friendly and polite, room was OK, it has bathroom with bathtub and jacuzzi.

it was not a real 4 star hotel, I got shock from the reception place, and there were no lobby, room has not wifi, and no entertainment like swimming pool, gym or even a real bar or restaurant in the hotel, if you back from city tour to the hotel early at the evening you didn't have any thing to do. Each room had a separate water boiler and so the warm water was not enough for two people to take shower and just one could take shower in the evening, although they told us that after 30 min, you will have warm water again but it was not true. breakfast was OK but not the best (as a 4 star hotel)

  • Single
    9.6

Ideal location for an event at the conference centre. Very close to the tram line with direct access to the city centre. Airport to hotel for about 1 pound using a bus (119) , the A train down 3 stops and tram 18 to just outside the hotel. The hotel had internet and was lovely and peaceful. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.
